WHISPERS: 13th Hyperspectral workshopPreliminary announcement

 
Dear Colleague,

The 13th Hyperspectral workshop, WHISPERS, will be held in Athens, Greece, from October 31st to November 2nd 2023.
 
This year, the workshop will take place within The Eugenides Foundation’s technologically advanced Conference Centre.
 
Although the conference is back to the normal mode (i.e., in-person) speakers are allowed to present remotely if unable to travel to the venue (hybrid support).

2nd DESIS User Workshop during WHISPERS: Call for abstracts/papers

We are pleased to invite you to our 2nd DESIS User Workshop which will be held on the 2nd of November 2023 in conjunction with the IEEE GRSS WHISPERS Workshop on Hyperspectral Image and Signal Processing (31.10-2.11.23, Athens, Greece), in hybrid format.

  • Abstract Submission until July 15, 2023
  • Notification of acceptance August 30, 2023
  • Author registration deadline September 30, 2023

Sujet de thèse : Optimisation exacte, parcimonie et contraintes avancées pour l’analyse multi-solutions de données hyperspectrales de Mars

Cette thèse financée vise à formuler le problème d’analyse de données hyperspectrales dans le formalisme de l’optimisation MIP (Mixed Integer Programming). Cette nouvelle approche permettra la résolution exacte des problèmes d’estimation sous-jacents par des algorithmes dédiés, là où les méthodes existantes cumulent erreur de modèle et erreur d’estimation par approches sous-optimales. La forte originalité de ces travaux réside en un changement de paradigme où, plutôt que de réaliser l’estimation au sens classique de l’optimisation d’un critère à solution unique (laquelle s’avère souvent ininterprétable en raison du trop fort niveau de bruit sur les données), les méthodes développées retourneront l’ensemble de solutions acceptables, par exemple l’ensemble exhaustif des solutions parcimonieuses compatibles avec le niveau de bruit donné. Ces outils seront appliqués à des données de télédétection spatiale de la planète Mars.

DART Tutorial 2023

The 2023 DART tutorial organized by CNRS (French research institute) will take place on June 12-14, in Toulouse, France. Participation, including lunches and coffee breaks, is free of charge for research and education.
