We are happy to announce the upcoming AISHI Workshop on Machine Learning for Hyperspectral Imaging.
As a follow-up of the DeepLearning3D Workshop held in ENS Lyon in 2024, this event will bring together researchers working at the intersection of machine learning and hyperspectral imaging, with the goal of fostering exchanges between different communities and discussing recent advances, challenges, and applications.
The workshop will feature invited talks and contributed talks/posters covering topics including machine learning approaches for hyperspectral data processing, representation learning, source detection and characterization, as well as applications across scientific domains such as Earth observation, astronomy & astrophysics, and life sciences.
The workshop will take place on October 6–7 at I-FACTORY, University of Lyon (Campus de la Doua). Registration is free but mandatory, and the deadline for registration and abstract submission is Friday, September 11.

Developed at CESBIO since 1992, DART (http://dart.omp.eu) is one of the most comprehensive and accurate 3D radiative transfer models in the remote sensing community. Patented in 2003, it enables the simulation of both surface radiation budgets and remote sensing observations for all types of natural and urban landscapes.
The training will enable participants to:
- understand the challenges and needs of radiative transfer modeling
- explore the state of the art of DART and its applications
- deepen their knowledge of remote sensing physics and radiative transfer theory
- gain hands-on experience using DART to simulate observations and radiation budgets

Le 11e colloque scientifique du groupe Hyperspectral de la SFPT-GH se tiendra les 24 et 25 juin 2026 à Toulouse, dans les locaux de l’École d’ingénieurs de Purpan (75 Voie du Toec, 31300 Toulouse). Cette édition sera organisée conjointement avec les 27e rencontres HélioSPIR, qui auront lieu les 23 et 24 juin 2026, dans les mêmes locaux. Les deux communautés auront ainsi l’opportunité de se rencontrer lors de sessions communes organisées au cœur de ces trois journées, favorisant les échanges entre spécialistes de l’imagerie hyperspectrale et de la spectroscopie proche infrarouge.
Le colloque SFPT-GH 2026 abordera les avancées les plus récentes dans le domaine des capteurs, des méthodes et des algorithmes de traitement des données hyperspectrales. Les missions spatiales en préparation et en exploitation y seront également présentées, ainsi que l’apport de l’imagerie hyperspectrale dans des domaines d’application aussi variés que les géosciences, la végétation, les milieux littoraux et urbains, l’atmosphère, la planétologie, etc.

SFPT-GH 2026 à Toulouse : Save the date !
Le 11ème colloque du groupe SFPT-GH (Groupe Hyperspectral de la Société Française de Photogrammétrie et de Télédétection) sera organisé conjointement avec les 27ièmes rencontres du colloque HélioSPIR (réseau scientifique de spectroscopie proche infrarouge) du 23 au 26 juin 2026, à Toulouse. Cet évènement sera accueilli par l’école d’ingénieur de Purpan. Les deux communautés auront l’occasion de se rencontrer lors de sessions communes au milieu de ces 4 jours, les premiers jours seront dédiés à HélioSPIR et les derniers à SFPT-GH.

14th EARSeL Imaging Spectroscopy workshop / abstract submissions open
Abstract submissions for the 14th EARSeL Imaging Spectroscopy Workshop are now open. The deadline is December 21st. Please follow the link below for additional details:
The workshop will include 19 special sessions, along with numerous post-workshop tutorials.
As in previous years, EARSeL will kindly sponsor the Young Scientist Award to recognize the best oral presentations by researchers under 32. The winners will be announced during the workshop’s closing session. Young scientists are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts and take part in this competition!
Offre de post-doctorat: modélisation physique pour l’étude des arbres en vergers par drone avec données hyperspectrales/LiDAR, ONERA (Toulouse)
L’ONERA cherche un candidat pour un post-doctorat d’un an pour un démarrage début 2026 au sein du département d’optique et techniques associées (DOTA) à Toulouse sur le sujet suivant : « Mapping orchard leaf biochemistry from UAV imagery: a hybrid-based approach from 3D radiative transfer modeling and hyperspectral/LiDAR datasets ».
Le travail visera à la cartographie intra-couronne de traits biochimiques de végétation (pigments, contenu en eau et matière sèche) à partir de données multimodales, notamment acquises par drone à une échelle spatiale centimétrique, dans des contextes variés en produits phytosanitaires et génotypes dans les vergers, avec une approche de modélisation physique 3D. Cette offre s’inscrit dans le cadre du projet ANR CANOP.

Annonce du Lauréat du Prix Étudiant du 10e Colloque du Groupe Hyperspectral de la SFPT
Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer le lauréat du Prix Étudiant du 10e colloque du Groupe Hyperspectral de la Société Française de Photogrammétrie et de Télédétection (SFPT-GH) :
- Prix Oral : M. Trung-Tin DINH pour sa contribution intitulée « Classification non supervisée de données hyperspectrales codées ». Son travail a su convaincre l’auditoire par son originalité et la qualité de sa présentation. Félicitations !
- Cette année, aucun Prix Poster n’a pu être décerné en raison d’un nombre insuffisant de candidatures.
Les membres du comité scientifique tiennent à féliciter chaleureusement le lauréat et à remercier tous les participants au colloque pour leur soutien auprès des jeunes chercheurs.
